In 2005, my future in Old Vine Zinfandel was sealed into California wine history with a brand that I had to redesign based on the trademark owned by Rabbit Ridge Winery in Paso Robles.

Now 14 years later, Erich Russel, proprietor of Rabbit Ridge, contacted me regarding the collaboration between us to redesign and build upon his trademark of ‘Rabbit Ridge Zinfandel O.V.Z’.

Of course I was thrilled to combine efforts with Erich and set out to combine nearly 80 years of experience in producing Old Vine Zinfandel from multiple AVA’s throughout California.

Erich’s style has always been bold, elegant and rich in spicy overtones with my style historically being soft, concentrated fruit and aromatically concentrated.

The combination between our two styles is what we now are presenting as a truly collaborative wine blend and brand.
